Mid-Senior Magento Backend Developer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Magento 2 eCommerce solutions.
- Integrate with major external systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateway system, middleware, and other systems.
- Prepare custom prospect/client solutions to be presented.
- Participation in pre & post-sales technical scoping, requirements gathering and discussions.
- Prepare and provide client-facing technical follow-up calls and documentation.
- Work closely with Tech architects to create standardized processes and solutions.
- Keep up to date with all industry changes and the latest methodology within the commerce industry.
- Provide technical oversight to the development team.
- To parallelly work on developing an internal demo site on Magento and continue to Enhance it. Ensure that the new and junior team members are assigned to get hands-on experience using the internal products.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Ecom and IT Industry
- 4+ years of experience in Magento with at least 3+ years in Magento 2.0 +
- Minimum experience of 2 full-fledged Magento Implementation projects or a minimum 2 migration projects from Magento 1 to 2 or from other platforms to
- Magento.
- Adobe Magento Certification is a must.
- Fluent in verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to articulate the Omni-channel end-to-end commerce value proposition.
- Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platform
- 20% travel required - Depends
- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent
- Experience in mentoring development teams
- Exceptional problem solving
- Expert PHP and Object-Oriented Programming skills
- Knowledge of other PHP Frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, Laminas)
- Experience working with open-source LAMP/LEMP stack, particularly PHP and MySQL, and the use of the creation of third-party libraries and frameworks
- Familiarity with the following preferred: JavaScript, HTML5, XML/ XSL, SOAP, REST, AJAX, CSS3
- Strong understanding of Design Patterns
- Good team player who can work with people of all levels/backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of shopping cart development with shipping, and payment gateway integration for E-commerce websites
- Build APIs that integrate with all major ERP, CRM, and other systems.
- Experience in Adobe Commerce (Magento) Cloud
- Understanding of Magento/Apache setup and tuning it for high performance
- Experience with headless architecture
- Experience in using PHPStorm for IDE
Qualifications:
- Experience working in the following industry sectors: retail, media/entertainment and/or computer/product manufacturing
- Preference for candidates who can join expeditiously.
- Enterprise architecture knowledge and experience such as Infrastructure, Applications, E-Commerce, Integration Structure (EAI)
- Understanding of the Magento business user tools and Magento product lines (Cloud, BI, OMS, Shipping)
- Development of new Magento plugins
