Job Summary:

We are in search of an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications on the AWS platform. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical excellence, mentor junior team members, and shape the future of our DevOps practices.

 

Job Description:

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage an AWS production system.
• Extensive AWS build experience, with wide PaaS capabilities knowledge.
• Ability to communicate, document, share knowledge, and be example to the team.
• Advanced knowledge in Jenkins, GitHub, Linux (Good Grip over commands)
• Automating different operational processes by designing, maintaining, and managing tools
• Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for IAC and CI/CD that teams can follow.
• Hands on experience in AWS provisioning of AWS services like EC2, S3,EBS, AMI, VPC, ELB, RDS, Auto scaling groups, Cloud Formation.
• Support and maintain cloud environments with an emphasis on continuously innovating through automation and enhancing stability/availability through monitoring and improving security posture.
• Strong scripting knowledge is mandatory. It would be best if you were comfortable with scripting in Shell, Python, Ruby, or any preferred scripting language.
• Experience with container (Docker) orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Work closely with application development teams to design, implement and where necessary automate infrastructure on cloud platforms.
• Work Hours: Extended UK time.

To qualify, candidates must have:

• Tech./ B.E./BCA/MCA/MSc/BSc with sound technical skills
• Strong command on verbal and written English language.
• Proven track record as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on AWS services.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with various AWS services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and task execution.
• Expertise in infrastructure as code practices and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD practices and associated tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
