Senior Magento Front-End Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality front-end designs for Magento 2 eCommerce websites.
  • Ensure that the design is accurately and efficiently implemented in collaboration with the design team.
  • Optimize website performance, user experience, and page speed through front-end development techniques.
  • Collaborate with the backend development team to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend functionalities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end development trends and technologies.
  • Prepare custom prospect/client solutions to be presented.
  • Participation in pre & post-sales technical scoping, requirements gathering, and solution creation & review.
  • Supporting sales by authoring responses to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Conduct Technical Discovery sessions directly with prospects and customers.
  • Technical Discovery is designed to uncover any and all technical and marketing requirements, key business goals, and potential issues.
  • Evaluating client’s 1st and 3rd party data integration, technology vendor requirements, and developing integration strategies for the platform related to Front End
  • Engage in a rapid Training process including formal training, self-study and field experience designed to position the Team members as technical experts on Magento Commerce and related solutions as quickly as possible.
  • Prepare and provide client-facing technical follow-up calls and documentation.
  • Work closely with other architects to create standardized processes and solutions.
  • Keep up to date with all industry changes and the latest methodology within the commerce industry.
  • Provide technical oversight to the development team.
  • To parallelly work on developing an internal demo site on Magento and continue to Enhance it. Ensure that the new and junior team members are assigned to get hands-on experience using the internal products.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in Ecom and IT Industry
  • 4+ years of experience in Magento with at least 3+ years in Magento 2.0 +
  • Minimum experience of 2-3 full-fledged Magento Implementation projects and minimum 2 migration projects from Magento 1 to 2 or from other platforms to
  • Magento, as a Lead Developer.
  • Adobe Magento Certification is a must.
  • Fluent in verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to articulate the Omni-channel end-to-end commerce value proposition.
  • Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platform 20% travel required – Depends
  • Ability to translate product requirements into functional code.
  • SEO standards while implementing the design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Experienced in independently interacting with seniors across different groups/teams
  • Good communication skills written and verbal and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Magento 2 Frontend Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento 2 theme development and customization.
  • Experience with frontend development frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, or Materialize.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles. Pixel perfect design implementation. Used to design tools like Photoshop, Figma, XD, etc.
  • Familiarity with CSS pre-processors such as SASS or LESS. Magento 2 less framework modification.
  • Must have knowledge of Knockout JS
  • Must have basic knowledge of React-Redux, and Grunt.
  • Work with different library jquery in the same project.
  • Work with Magento default jquery components (Tabs, Accordion, Navigation).
  • Graphql knowledge will be plus
  • TypeScript knowledge will be a plus.

Desirables:

  • Experience working in the following industry sectors: retail, media/entertainment and/or computer/product manufacturing
  • Preference for candidates who can join expeditiously.
  • Enterprise architecture knowledge and experience such as Infrastructure, Applications, E-Commerce, Integration Structure (EAI)
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present business solutions to senior executives as well as technology to engineers. 
  • Experience in defining and managing the scope of projects
  • Development of new Magento plugins
  • Contribution of Magento open-source development.
