As Pacsun expands its commerce strategy, NULogic continues to deliver the engineering horsepower, domain expertise, and flexible service models needed to fuel long-term digital growth.

Pacsun is a purpose-driven specialty fashion retailer recognized for its strong presence in youth culture and digital commerce. The brand curates a unique cross section of emerging fashion brands, streetwear, activewear, and contemporary clothing that resonate with the next generation of shoppers. With a focus on eCommerce growth, omnichannel retail experiences, and creative brand collaborations, PacSun partners with leading names in fashion, music, art, and sport to deliver curated collections, exclusive drops, and limited-edition products. Founded in 1980 in Newport, California, and now co-created in Los Angeles, PacSun has evolved into a trend-focused retail and eCommerce leader, driving innovation across both brick-and-mortar and online shopping platforms.

The Challenge

Pacsun needed to accelerate digital commerce innovation while keeping costs optimized and ensuring operational flexibility. As the brand expanded its eCommerce strategy, it required faster development cycles and scalable solutions within Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and the Manhattan Order Management System (OMS). However, the retailer faced engineering bandwidth constraints, rising resource costs, and growing market pressure to launch new features quickly. The challenge was to deliver high-quality eCommerce enhancements, seamless system integrations, and omnichannel capabilities without compromising stability, customer experience, or long-term scalability.

The Solution

NULogic partnered with PacSun through a strategic staff augmentation model designed to provide scalable eCommerce engineering support. Leveraging a blended onshore–offshore delivery approach, our team seamlessly integrated into PacSun’s workflows, bringing proven expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and the Manhattan Order Management System (OMS).

Early priorities focused on high-impact digital commerce initiatives, including the successful Klarna integration, which enabled flexible alternative payment options and significantly improved the customer checkout experience.

Through our flexible resourcing model, PacSun gained the ability to scale talent up or down based on project demand, eliminate engineering bottlenecks, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives across multiple platforms. This approach not only ensured faster delivery and cost efficiency but also minimized onboarding time and avoided operational disruptions, giving PacSun the agility to execute on a broader range of eCommerce and omnichannel projects.

The Results

  • Accelerated eCommerce DeliveryNULogic successfully implemented and launched Klarna integration on time, expanding alternative payment options and improving the customer checkout experience for PacSun shoppers.
  • Expanded Platform Coverage Our cross-functional engineering teams now support both Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and the Manhattan Order Management System (OMS), ensuring seamless eCommerce operations and backend scalability.
  • Cost-Efficient Offshore Resourcing By leveraging strategic offshore and blended delivery models, PacSun reduced its total cost of ownership while maintaining high-quality digital commerce engineering services.
  • Enhanced Digital Agility With flexible resource scaling, PacSun gained the ability to execute multiple omnichannel retail initiatives in parallel, accelerating digital transformation projects with minimal lead time and greater operational efficiency.
